Console
From Halon Security
The console can be accessed using SSH or from the console (RS-232 for SPG, and the VMware/Citrix console for VSP). This console is password protected, and a read-write H/OS administration account is needed to sign in. If you have forgot the password, you need to perform a factory reset. The console contains help messages, and is mostly self-explainatory.
Occasions when to use the console include
- You have forgotten the appliance's IP address
- You have locked yourself out of the Web Administration, and need to revert to a previous configuration revision
- You like to watch some pretty ASCII art
